Remote Consultation
Why?
Many issues can be easily managed by your professional remotely with the technological tools available to us today!
In some cases, remote consultations can even prove beneficial and offer numerous advantages:
Sensitive Animals
In some cases, in-person consultations can be particularly invasive: certain animals, especially our feline friends for example, or certain issues will remain invisible to your professional during an in-person consultation. Here, this bias no longer applies! You maintain your animal’s emotional well-being while allowing the application of an adapted protocol.
Flexibility
An appointment when you can, from your home!
Geographical or physical constraints are no longer an issue!
Efficiency
Behavioral modification depends largely on the guardian because you live with your animal daily! Our role as professionals will be to give you all the tools to understand how to train your animal and communicate with it. Having also acquired the necessary skills adapted to your animal, the changes will be lasting and sustainable over time!
How Does it Work?
Software
Online consultations use Zoom, WhatsApp, Skype, or Messenger. If video is not necessary, a phone call can also be used. If the tool allows, the consultation can also be recorded and transferred so that you can review it as many times as you want!
Videos
Technology makes it very easy to film problematic behaviors. Asking a family member, an accomplice, or even using an indoor surveillance camera to retrieve videos to then transfer to your professional will allow you to see the behaviors without the distraction of being in person. See them as accurately as possible without any possible cognitive bias!
Similarly, during follow-ups, your professional can send you videos of exercises to perform by filming themselves with their own animals and with the precise technique that should be used. These videos will thus always be at your disposal and you can review them as many times as necessary.
Data
Data collection is one of the central elements of any behavioral modification. Tracking the evolution of the problematic behavior, ensuring that the protocol is effective and modifying it quickly if necessary, allowing correlations between events, or noting your doubts and remarks. A chart will thus be provided by your professional and adapted to your needs.

Is Remote Consulting Right for Me?
Being comfortable with technology will be one of the main elements:
filming, sending, filling out online charts, communicating by message, it’s not always easy to master all the tools. Your professional will be there to guide you, but if this point is a deal-breaker, it might be better to consider in-person consultations.
Having a good network to regularly and peacefully send the requested elements, be able to get a quick response and relevant analyses based on these.
Being motivated, most work protocols and behavioral modification plans require long-term commitment:
here, it will involve short but qualitative sessions, most often 20 to 30 minutes of effective work per day throughout the duration of the protocol. It also involves taking notes, filming, sending; personal investment is necessary to ensure the success of a protocol!
